I went to the babywearing expo in the "big city" and it was pretty wild, tons of slings & mei tais for sale. All of the parents were very nice to their kids there which was cool. I was excited to get some help and learn how to put baby in a rucksack carry on my back, by myself. I can get a lot more done this way, so it was worth the trip.

At the last NINO someone demonstrated how to put the baby on your back in an Ergo, and I decided that was too advanced for us at the moment. But you are right: I bet you could get so much done. I need to stop being chicken and practice back carries in my meitai.
Hey Elizabeth, I commented on your blog about that...By the way, you are advanced, you slung right from birth--that's not easy!
Ooooo, i wish i had something like that available. I just cannot for the life of me figure out back carries and I think Liam would like it better. I have tried in both my wrap and my Babyhawk and he always ends up kinda smushed down and uncomfortable. And the straps slip off my shoulders. Maybe someday!
Wow, I wish I could figure that out! I have a wrap that is supposed to work on the back, but I can't get Sam in there by myself, and he doesn't stay put very well, either. But I don't do all that twisty stuff!
I saw that you cloth diaper on your profile. I do, too. What is ecological breastfeeding? I have been nursing for the better part of the last 18 years, and I have never heard of that.
I have a give-away on my blog for some cloth diaper detergent that my friend makes if you are interested in entering.
